Do you notice that when you take good care of your health, your body feels more refreshed and energized? That is because you are allowing normal body functions to work the way it should when you eat good food. If you tell me that going on a diet and having rigorous workouts is the only way to a great and healthy-looking body, well, I beg to differ.
What then is a well-balance diet? A good
diet doesn’t really mean skipping a meal or staying away from things that you
love to eat. A healthy diet consists of consuming the daily recommended amounts
of protein, fats, carbohydrates, fiber, water, vitamins and essential minerals
which your body needs to function properly. Loving your body may not literally
mean endlessly pampering it, but eating the right foods at its proper amount
promotes better health.
Sometimes people
become too conscious of having “that” perfect body often seen on television,
cable or the internet. We want the perfect skin, perfect face, muscle tones and
body structure that are frequently associated with fitness programs; however,
we are not living in a perfect world to attain those from birth. So I tell you
now --- stop picking on yourself and learn to love its imperfections! This is
what makes each individual unique in every way; it is that something which
makes us more special.
You can’t just spend most of your time each
day worrying about your body shape, weight or size of your rear. Think more of
living a healthy and active lifestyle which will make you feel great. The
proper combination of regular exercise to the right diet will do wonders for
your health. And if you combine that with the things you like doing most, that’s
what loving your body is all about!
When you watch exercise programs and health
videos, you can’t help but admire how fit and great looking the bodies of the
trainers have. Mind you, they did not get to their present form without
dedication and hardwork. If you really want to achieve something like those ---
aim for it, make a goal and stick to making it work! Educate yourself on the
things you need to eat, and the stuff you need to do in order to achieve such a
feat. Remember, nothing is impossible! It is just a matter of choice for
everyone to do the right things right.
Come to think of it, living the life that
we want is indeed attainable. Know your limitations, eat a balanced diet,
engage in active lifestyle and best of all, believe in yourself! Loving your
body for what it is rather than for what it’s not can help you overcome any
challenges that life may impose along the way. Live happy knowing that you are
doing the things you want and when you want.
Be smart and keep things simple. Always
stick to the positives. Learn to live and enjoy life to the fullest!
