Making the Most Out of Life

Stress has always been part of life. From the time you wake up in the morning until the time you sleep at night. You think and decide on things that can make you feel angry, sad, worried or happy. And depending on the outcome of events, things either makes you feel contented, pissed, or down right low. But come to think of it, everything boils down to proper time management. Doing so otherwise will slowly build up pressure and take more and more of your time until you break an d eventually tend to forget life’s smaller pleasures. Sometimes people say “you worry too much,” and there’s so much truth into that. There are many things that we can do whenever we stay positive, and some of them are so simple that we tend to take them for granted.

Let us look into some of daily activities and see if we can recreate how to feel happy every day.

When a person does repetitive tasks day in and day out, the tendency is that he or she will get bored at some point in time. Taking some time to re-discover life’s smaller pleasures will be helpful in easing the slow build-up of stress. Let’s take for example when you have a piece of chocolate or a portion of your favourite cake. During the time when you take your very first bite off the chocolate bar or cake, you feel thrilled and let your taste buds savour its sweetness and taste. By letting that feeling linger, you are actually enjoying a moment within your busy day that will give you a positive boost, enabling you to be more upbeat for either work or play. Whether you find such exciting moments by eating a favourite food or doing a simple activity, you tend to see how to live life in a different light. Setting aside a portion of your time each week to do an activity you like doing most such as watching a movie, playing a video game, travelling to exotic places or engaging in sports, will go a long way on your personal build-up.

Another way for you how to feel happy every day is to do acts of random kindness. Psychologists and studies show that when you effectively help people move away from depression, the event triggers a positive effect of fulfilment and sense of achievement. Performing an act of kindness is done by simply assisting other people and not expecting anything in return. Helping a complete stranger to carry a load that is obviously too much for a single person to handle, leading an elderly person across the street, or helping a child get the cat or ball that is stuck up on the tree; any of these things would surely make you feel good about yourself. And who knows, if the time comes that you are given the chance to help or even save a person’s life, that would certainly be the icing on the cake, wouldn’t you agree?

These last two activities comes hand-in-hand. A warm smile and simple “thank you” to someone to show your appreciation has a tendency to uplift a person’s feelings. This will rebound back to you in ways that you cannot imagine, plus giving you a morale boost that you know you can make a small difference in the life of others.

By knowing how to feel happy every day, you are actually setting a balance in your life that would probably make every second that pass by a most enjoyable experience. Be more positive in everything that you do and make the most out of life. Cheers!
