AKA Charice. Charice is a Filipino recording artist and actress rose through popularity on You Tube. She is an international Pinay. She has been on talk shows all over in the United States of America. She has performed many of times in front of millions of people. She once performed at two US presidential pre-inaugural in Washington, D.C. namely the Martin Luther King Jr “Realizing the dream” gala and the “pearl presidential inaugural gala. “ She also performed at two posts Oscar award events: Oscar night and Oprah’s Oscar after party.

Last 2010 she released her first international album entitled “Charice” featuring the song “Pyramid “Charmaine Clarice Relucio Pempengco ft rapper, Iyaz. In May, She released her Philippine album, My Inspiration. And now, she has been performing all over the world like places in Italy, America, Neverlands and her home country The Philippines.

She also acts in the second season of the renowned series, Glee as Sunshine Corazon a Filipino Exchange Season is the Rival of Rachel Berry or Lea Michele. She is also going to co- star with Salma Hayek and a numerous amount of other actors in a comedy thriller, “Here comes boom”. It will be set to premiere next year.

Charice has a great future ahead of her and inspires many singers and song writers like her. She is internationally known and carries name of the Filipinos. She is a global Pinay.

Charice Pempengco’s father, Ricky Pempengco, Age of 39 was found in an open canal along Bonifacio St, Barangay langgam in San Pedro around 11:30 pm says Senior Supt. Gilbert Cruz, Police provincial Office Director. He said that Ricky was ice-picked multiple times in the back and chest. San Pedro police headed by Supt. Kirby Kraft launched a hunt for suspected killer, Angel Capili, 35. Capili disappeared shortly after Ricky was discovered; Witnesses say that the victim just came from a drinking session with the suspect & that they were buying cigarettes from a store near his house at the time he was stabbed. Kraft said that the suspect used to live in Brgy Langgam but moved out in 2005. They have located some witnesses wherein they wanted to help the victim but were too scared to approach because of the possibility that the suspect might prevent them by doing so in a violent way.

Cruz said that the possible motive behind the killing is that of an old grudge. According to the neighbors, Capili is said to utter harsh words each time he isn’t sober or drunk. In 2005, it was said that Capili shoved Ricky in the midst of their drinking session. It’s possible that the suspect kept an ill grudge against Pempengco.

The victim was described as a good hearted man but his mood would quickly change once he was intoxicated. He is said to be tired of his abusive ways, his ex wife, Raquel left him with Charice a long time ago, Raquel was very shocked about the news by her husband’s death saying she already forgave him a long time ago, Him being the father of Charice.

In an Emotional outburst by Ricky’s sister seen on national television, While sobbing she says “ Siguro Masaya na sila dahil wala na yung kapatid ko. “ Then bursted into tears. Later on, Charice quickly tweeted her reaction to what her “tita” said about her relationship with her father. She tweeted “To my father’s siblings, you have no right to say or guess how I feel. Who are you to say that I should be happy over the death of my own father. You’re just his siblings & I am the daughter. Mother never stopped us from visiting daddy, but you wouldn’t allow us. “She said it in tagalog on her twitter account yet these posts where later on deleted.

Charice’s rise to stardom internationally & phenomenally. The classic case of a poor girl who was very talented and taken care of by a single mom and became a singing sensation.
