Alice's Adventures In Wonderland
an 1865 novel written by English author Charles Lutwidge Dodgson (27 January 1832 – 14 January 1898), better known by the pseudonyman Lewis Carrol, a mathematician, logician, Anglican deacon and Photographer. One of his most famous writings is Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland(Commonly shortened to Alice in Wonderland). It is considered to be one of the best examples of the literary nonsense genre and its narrative course and structure have been enormously influential, especially in the fantasy genre.
Alice's Adventures in Wonderland - It tells of a girl named Alice who falls down a rabbit hole into a fantasy world (Wonderland ) populated by peculiar, anthropomorphic creatures. The tale plays with logic , giving the story lasting popularity with adults as well as children.
The first time I asked for the book: Alice’s Adventures in wonderland from my Dad he told me I had to get high grades on my report card. So, I worked really hard for this book then I got it over the summer from my Father. I read this book within two days. I fell in love with this book. Alice seemed strange and mind bobbling to me at the start but later on as I got to the part where Alice becomes a guest at a Tea party hosted by the Mad Hatter. The Mad Hatter seemed the oddest of the bunch for me. For he wears a top hat and has goofy hair. The rest of the characters in this scene were throwing riddles at her such as “Why is a Raven like a writing desk? “ Alice leaves the tea party and claims that it was the most idiotic tea party she has ever been to. I like that part because it seemed funny to a girl my age. I like the way the author tries to express his thoughts and imagination. Even though it is random and strange. I like it for what it is and for its characteristics.
